Eastern Market Pottery has offered pottery classes on Capitol Hill since 1968. Since 2007, Eastern Market Pottery has been located at Abrams Studios, a large carriage house at 320 Third Street NE, close to Union Station and U.S. Senate offices. In July of 2009 we will return to a renovated Eastern Market and a new studio space in that historic landmark. I hold an M.F.A. in Sculpture from Kent State University. I have taught at the following institutions: Hiram College, Hiram, Ohio Kent State University, Kent, Ohio University of Akron, Akron, Ohio Canton Art Institute, Canton, Ohio Montgomery College, Rockville, MD Glen Echo Pottery, Glen Echo, MD The March 20-23 and May 1-4 workshops are full. Glazed to Perfection began as a Paint-Your-Own-Pottery shop but has evolved into a multidisciplined art studio focusing on providing instruction for the average person in wet clay—handbuilding or on the wheel—and glass fusing as well as other arts and crafts in addition to the paint your own pottery.
